É muito alto-astral acabar um dia assim. Na Lagoa da Taíba o pôr-do-sol é um dos mais bonitos que já vi na vida! Depois de uma tarde velejando, com o nosso amigo John Lennon( nome diferente,não?) fazendo companhia, acabamos o dia tendo a lagoa só pra gente. Como a temporada acabou de começar, agora é a hora certa para velejar sem muito crowd!
We had the most amasing sunset kite session down at Taiba Lagoon with our good friend and Taiba native John Lennon (cool name right?!). We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves for the last hour which was a special treat, it won’t be long before the kite season fully kicks in and the crowds arrive…
A Lagoa da Taíba tem condições perfeitas para o velejo. Nesse dia eu acertei meu primeiro backloop to blind, resultado dos treinos que eu fiz no cable park na semana passada. A Giselle está treinando alguns blinds também e andamos caindo forte esses dias. Estamos quase chegando lá! É ótimo porque quando você aprende a pousar blind você abre espaço pra aprender várias manobras novas!
Taiba lagoon is the perfect place for us to train. I managed to land my first backloops to blind, I’m sure it was due to the training and tips I had down at the cable park last week. Giselle is going for pop’s to blind and having some nasty wipeouts, it’s a really tricky thing to learn but she’s almost there! Won’t be long until she gets the landing perfect. Once she’s got that mastered it opens up the opportunity to learn so many more tricks.
Só quem está na água sabe como é mágico ver o sol se pôr de dentro da água. Quando baixamos os kites, vimos que ainda dava tempo fazer umas fotos na barraca e lá fomos nós, registrar o momento pra você! E seja bem-vindo aqui você também! Em 2013 quem vai tomar de conta da barraca é o pessoal da Kitepirinha Kite School. Aí sim o lugar vai ficar ainda melhor para relaxar depois de um dia treinando.
The sunsets down at the lagoon are among the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. There is something magical about being on the water at sundown, the orange sunlight glistening through the spray coming off your kiteboard and reflecting off the smooth lagoon. The view from the baracca is just as perfect and we were super happy to find out our friends over at Kitepirinha Kite School will be taking over the space this year, it’s going to a great place to hang out in between sessions!
